Watch battery tool kit – It can come handy anytime.

Watch batteries are button cell batteries. These are the small circular discs which are inserted at the back of the watch. They have different sizes and different thickness. These are usually charged with a minimum of 1.5 volts and a maximum of 3 volts. In the event of a battery running out, watch wearers would have to go to a skilled watch repair man. A watch battery tool kit is needed for replacing the used up battery. This watch battery tool kit has the necessary tools needed for battery replacement. Of course, a skilled repair man is necessary to be able to replace the battery.

Inside the watch battery tool kit is a tool which can open the back part of the watch. Usually, watch backs are closed with a thin metal cover which needs a special tool to grasp the small slots in the cover. As the tool grasps the slots, the repair man would then twist the cover to unlock it from the watch. Also, there is another kind of watch back covering which also need a different tool to open. This is also included in some watch battery tool kits. This covering is called a snap covering. It has pretty much the same concept as snap buttons. A little pressure is applied to the snap back covering to uncover it and a little pressure is also applied to close it.

Another integral part of the watch battery tool kit is the battery tester. This is used to see if the battery is really used up. If it is then, a change of battery is needed. If the battery is still functioning, then there is something else wrong with the watch. Most repair men always check the battery before changing it just in case it is no the battery which need to be repaired. A battery tester is a helpful tool to have in the watch battery tool kit because most batteries are considered sold once they are opened from their case.

The other components of a watch battery tool kit are steel and plastic tweezers, screwdriver and the case opener knife. The case opener knife is a tool for helping to open the back casing or covering of the watch. The screwdriver is a “just in case" tool for watch battery replacement. Steel and plastic tweezers are a necessity when small parts are to be placed back in the watch. Human hands are far too big to hold the smallest parts of a watch.
